Veganism; is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

Christopher and I didn't grow up vegan, in fact eating meat and drinking milk was a normal dinner for us. I absolutely hated milk. The smell and taste just set something off for me and I never really cared for meat either, just ate it because that's what my mom always cooked. Chris loved meat and drank his milk like a champ. Beef jerky was his weakness and chocolate bars were mine! We didn't really know what being vegan was or what it even meant when we were younger. Fast forward to a few years ago, I heard about being vegan and how it was healthier for your body and I joined in on it. It didn't last long though. It would of lasted a lot longer if I truly knew what was happening to our planet and of course the animals. Later down the road my husband and I watched the man who we owe everything to. Gary Yourofsky. Together we watched one of his YouTube videos that has over 2 million views and we have never looked back since.

You can watch H E R E Gary Yourofskys YouTube Video

After the video, we threw everything out that contained animal products. Literally everything! We were all in. 100% committed to the vegan lifestyle. We had been open minded while watching the video and doing our research about what truly goes on behind closed doors. Being vegan is not only about the animals but the planet we stand on. We are vegan for so many reasons. Health, the animals,  and the environment. It's not hard. It really isn't! We quit in one night! We share this planet with these precious, amazing, intelligent animals. We do not own them. They are not ours. We are all equal on this Earth. We are not cavemen starving for food, we are human beings who can thrive off of plants! Being vegan doesn't mean you have to give up anything! If anything you gain everything. You are no longer harming animals that do not want to be killed for your taste buds. Our bodies do not crave meat. If so, we would catch it bare handed and eat it raw. We crave flavor, seasonings. Have you ever had a veggie burger? Man, those are amazing. I dare you try something new, different. Get out of your comfort zone and think about the feelings of the animal you are about to ingest. Animals feel pain, sense fear and they cry out for help. Will you save them? We will.

We are your vegan friends.
